"Be brave to keep going when going is tough." Mostly, "Be brave to BE YOU." A very good book!!! All Oh so cute! Love the illustrations. "Be brave to sit down and say hello." Don't be afraid. As a teacher of Preschool and Elementary aged children I believe this is a very important message for our little ones.
What better message could she offer? I really like the theme of this book. A mother tells her little one, in rhyme, to be brave, to try things, to have courage, to stand up and step out. The publisher provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.more I could see reading this over and over whenever your child feels bad about themselves. It wants children to listen to their head and their heart and be brave to make the necessary choice whether it is to try a new thing, try again, walk away and try something new, just sit home alone etc. As a teacher, I often told children that it took courage to walk away or to try something new or to move on and this book shares that message and more. The story is told in rhyme with nice illustrations to illustrate the point of each page. It wants children to listen to their head and their heart and be brave to make the necessary choice whether it is to try a new thing, try again, walk away and try something new, just sit home alone etc I absolutely love this book.
